On October 25 IREHR Board Member Leah Henry-Tanner and Advisory Board member Chuck Tanner spoke about issues facing Indian country, and on the organized anti-Indian movement, at Evergreen College professor Zoltan Grossman’s class, A People’s Geography of American Empire. About 25 students were in attendance. The discussion covered the rise of the anti-Indian movement in the 1960s and 1970s, its various strategies, and recent activity in the region. Students were engaged and asked multiple questions during and after the event.

Chuck Tanner

Chuck Tanner is an Advisory Board member and researcher for the Institute for Research and Education on Human Rights. He lives in Washington State where he researches and works to counter white nationalism and the anti-Indian and other far right social movements.
