IREHR’s Leonard Zeskind and Devin Burghart visited Greensboro, North Carolina for an important conference that brought together organizers in the fight for $15 from across the South to tackle questions of racial justice. The conference, “Organizing Poor and Working-Class Whites: The Challenge of Building a Multiracial Movement,” was held June 17-18. Leonard and Devin opened up discussion on opposition with a talk on “The Southern Strategy, the Tea Party, and White Nationalist Support for Trump.”
Devin Burghart
is vice president of IREHR. He coordinates our Seattle office, directs our research efforts, and manages our online communications. He has researched, written, and organized on virtually all facets of contemporary white nationalism since 1992, and is internationally recognized for this effort.
