After publication of IREHR’s expose on the white nationalist machinations at the 2014 Conservative Political Action Conference, “The Unbearable Whiteness of CPAC,” a white nationalist leader is lashing out.

In the VDARE.com article “Peter Brimelow On The Vast Leftist Conspiracy/ Don’t Whites Have Rights Too?” the editor of the white nationalist website called the Institute for Research and Education on Human Rights “a Leftist Treason site” and claimed that the article was “yet further evidence of the vast left-wing conspiracy.”

Brimelow’s written attack is one more piece of evidence that IREHR’s research and public education work is effective, timely, and has real impact.

Echoing the core of his 1994 book, Alien Nation, Brimelow concluded his rant against the IREHR article in typical white nationalist flare, “My question: don’t whites a.ka.[sic] people known until the 1965 Immigration Act as ‘Americans’ have rights too?”

Here’s the rest of Brimelow’s rant.

For the record, “Devin” \d(e)-vin\ as a boy’s name (also used as girl’s name Devin), is pronounced DEV-in. It is of Irish and Gaelic origin, and the meaning of Devin is “bard, poet.” May also come from the French “divin,” meaning “divine, perfect.”

Brimelow is another in a long line of white nationalists who started in mainstream conservative circles and moved to the white side. The British expatriate and former senior editor at Forbes magazine has tirelessly pushed the nativist crusade. A series of articles in the National Review and his book Alien Nation catapulted him to nativist movement fame. Before losing his status at the National Review in the 1990s, Brimelow established himself as a favorite among anti-immigrant heavies and carved out a position for himself as a pundit of a variety of nativism more than amenable to white nationalists.

With the launch of the Center for American Unity in 1999, Brimelow developed a platform to warn that America was being polluted by non-whites. The VDARE.com website regularly publishes the work of nativists, anti-Semites, and white nationalists. In 2007, Brimelow moved the website operation to the VDARE Foundation.

It was under the fiscal umbrella of the VDARE Foundation that Brimelow helped Richard Spencer launch the white nationalist website AlternativeRight.com in March 2010. Spencer went on to run the National Policy Institute, the group that organized the “Unconference” at CPAC this year.

White nationalists all have to be exposed, so IREHR did its job.  Too bad for Brimelow.
